FOUR trumpets, FOUR trombones, FIVE saxes and FOUR rhythm! It’s a variable line-up of top-class pro players, who travel in from around Scotland to participate in this outstanding gig. Nowhere else can you hear this standard of regular Big Band playing. Led by saxophonist Keith Edwards, the personnel changes weekly, as does their selection of fantastic arrangements.

Steel guitar player, singer, and raconteur Toby Mottershead takes you on a tour of early blues and roots music. He has an uncanny ability to bring it back to life: jug bands, juke joints, you’ll come away with the sounds of the Delta and the Hill Country, too.

The “Fabian Willmann Trio“ with Jeff Ballard (known for his collaboration with Chick Corea, Brad Mehldau, Ray Charles etc.) and Arne Huber are playing a release-tour to celebrate their new album „Freedom“

Fabian Willmann and his trio with Jeff Ballard on drums and Arne Huber on bass are “casually celebrating the beauty of melody” (thatjazz).They strip the music down to the essentials, yet with something to say in every breath,devoid of any chatter, redundancy, or showing off.

„All About Jazz“ compare their «spaciously presented pieces to the groundbreaking triowork of Sonny Rollins in the ’50s and Ornette Coleman in the ’60s» and describe theirdebut album „Balance“ as «one of the most unassuming albums of 2022, that may end upbeing as one of the Best of the Year as well. Their second album „Freedom“ (2024) featuring Sissel Vera Pettersen and Lionel Louekehas been described as «hymnic, not hectic» and «almost provocatively emotional»,«where every nuance, every saxophone sound, every drum beat, and every vibration of astring takes on weight and meaning» (Jazz’n’More) In 2025, the trio will present the music at eighteen concerts in Germany, Luxembourg,England and Switzerland.

Tonight sees Scottish jazz vocalist Louise Dodds launch her new single ‘On We Go’.

The award nominated vocalist and songwriter will be joined by long time collaborators Tom Gibbs (piano) and Graeme Stephen (guitar). Alongside the new single, they’ll also be performing original songs from Louise’s last two critically acclaimed albums.

Bring your little ones to our Interactive Live Jazz Show! This isn’t just music—it’s a full-blown adventure into the world of early jazz, designed especially for younger audiences. It takes them right into the heart of the band, experiencing the magic of live acoustic instruments through music, dancing, fun, and play!

And parents, we’ve got you covered too! With our fully licensed bar, you can sip on your favourite cocktail, enjoy a cold beer, or unwind with a glass of wine while the kids groove to the tunes. We also have an impressive non-alcoholic beer selection.

But that’s not all—there’s a 30-minute disco after the show for anyone still needing to party and burn off even more energy!

The show starts at 2pm and consists of two 30min sets with a break in between. 30min of disco to follow- all finished by 4pm. Please arrive early- doors open at 1.30pm.

Crowned ‘Best Band’ twice at the Scottish Jazz Awards, Rose Room are Scotland’s leading ensemble influenced by Hot Club Swing. 2025 marks their 15th anniversary as a band and they’ve celebrated with a grand UK tour and the release of a new album: ‘It’s Been A Long, Long Time’ – a collection of their favourite tunes, songs and guest musicians that they’ve ‘gathered’ throughout their journey.

In this special Xmas show entitled ‘Django Bells’, they’ll play some festive favourites in the style of the great Django Reinhardt alongside their feelgood, swingin’ 1920s/30s repertoire including their 2024 single ‘What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?’.

Ceòl Milis Collective brings together some of Scotland’s finest jazz musicians, and this special night features drummer Stephen Henderson

Born in Ayrshire and immersed in music from an early age, Stephen is now a dynamic force on the UK scene. He is known for his work with the Mercury Prize-nominated Fergus McCreadie Trio and leads his own project Modern Vikings – recent winners of the 2024 Scottish Jazz Awards Critic’s Choice. Jazzwise named Stephen ‘One to Watch’, and in 2024 the band won the Critic’s Choice Award at the Scottish Jazz Awards.

Eloi (Ee – loy), are an Edinburgh based 7-piece future-jazz group. Inspired by the likes of Nubiyan Twist, Ezra Collective and Hiatus Kaiyote, their debut EP ‘Maya’ was released in 2022, and the follow up ‘Bloom Again’ was released in 2023.

King Louis and the Primas

9.15pm-11.30pm, £8/ £10 on the door only

King Louis and the Primas is a Jump Jive Jazz. Louis Prima tribute band based in Scotland.

Before Louis Prima, Vegas was a seedy gambling town known mostly for its mafia connections. After his show revolutionised the city’s entertainment it became the number one showbiz destination. Frank, Sammy, Marilyn, Cary, Dean, they all came to see Louis Prima, along with the crowds who queued round the block till six in the morning.

And just when his career seemed to be winding down he had his biggest hit of all. In Walt Disney’s “Jungle Book” he played King Louis the Most and sang I’m the King of the Swingers which turned him once again into a star.

In this tribute, you’ll hear all the great songs – Just A Gigolo, I Ain’t Got Nobody, Buona Sera, Angelina, Black Magic, Zooma, Zooma, When You’re Smilin and of course I’m the King of the Swingers – and all the fun and gags and nonsense as well. Trombonist and singer Dave Batchelor leads a specially assembled all-star band in a loving recreation of the Louis Prima Vegas Show.

King Louis and the Primas also celebrates the roots of 50s rock and roll, bringing to life the songs of the Coasters, The Big Bopper, Joe Turner and Chuck Berry.

FOUR trumpets, FOUR trombones, FIVE saxes and FOUR rhythm! It’s a variable line-up of top-class pro players, who travel in from around Scotland to participate in this outstanding gig. Nowhere else can you hear this standard of regular Big Band playing. Led by saxophonist Keith Edwards, the personnel changes weekly, as does their selection of fantastic arrangements.

An avid fan of Davis, Colin Steele is the master when it comes to paying homage to musical legends. With thrilling empathy, phenomenal solos and driving musical energy, Steele’s trumpet fronts a quintet covering classic arrangements of Miles Davis’ seminal albums of the 50s and 60s, especially Milestones and Kind of Blue. Join us for a pre-midnight jazz set bringing in the bells with a special selection of standards from our jazz bar house band!

Welcome glass of bubbly and snack along with fully stocked bar providing cocktails and jazz until the bells! The jazz portion of the evening lasts until midnight, where the tables and chairs leave and the venue becomes a funk nightclub until 4am!
