She is currently under the mentorship of Dutch-American stride pianist Bram Wijnands. Drawn to the swing and stride styles of 1930s/40s jazz, Singaporean pianist Amanda Lee is a rare breed in her generation of jazz pianists who strives to embody the roots and spirit of this tradition, bringing this treasured music to wider audiences. She is joined tonight by Andy Robb on bass, Colin Steele on trumpet and Jim Drummond on drums.
