Rising stars on the Irish jazz scene, twin brothers Micheal and Conor Murray are joined by Doug Hough (drums). World-renowned virtuoso saxophonist, Petter Wettre teams up with his fellow Norwegian Bjørn Solli, and local all-stars Andrew Robb and Alyn Cosker. Petter Wettre has won several Norwegian Grammy awards and opened international festivals and events such as the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony (2013) and Oslo Jazz Festival (2017), on top of extensive global touring including returning in 2018 to South Africa with an ensemble that pays tribute to Michael Brecker. Bjørn Solli is another seasoned international globe-trotter. Having spent 5 years resident in New York and releasing eight albums as leader, Solli is the recipient of numerous international awards. Phoenician Blinds are steadily becoming a staple of the London jazz scene. Fusing modern jazz landscapes with hard hitting grooves and exploratory cinematic compositions, they bring a fresh perspective to the classic jazz outfit. London-based, yet Pan-European, Phoenician Blinds combine influences, creating a sound sure to make you groove and contemplate the essence of soulful music. The band comprises of Julian Knapp (Germany) on tenor and soprano sax, Tom Sochas (France) on piano, rhodes and synths, Oli Cross (UK) on electric bass, and Ayoze de Alejandro (Spain) on drums.

Held on the last Sunday of each month, award-winning vocalist Ali Affleck brings a fiery New Orleans passion with heavy doses of old-time pop and deep digs into the rarest of trad and blues. Hot roots, blues, prohibition-era jazz, and cheeky Creole tunes from the finest swing bands around. Each month sees both new friends and old; special guests and long-time favourites of the swing dance community – the perfect end to the month!

Neo-soul, trip-hop grooves and re-edited classics are delivered to your ears, feet and hips by this vocals-fronted band with a rhythm section to die for. Guaranteed to keep your feet moving and your jaw dropped. Featuring hot vocals from Fiona Lynch, funky guitar from Aki Remally, and dope grooves from Jim Drummond (drums) and Dougie Coulter (bass).

FOUR trumpets, FOUR trombones, FIVE saxes and FOUR rhythm! It’s a variable line-up of top-class pro players, who travel in from around Scotland to participate in this outstanding gig. Nowhere else can you hear this standard of regular Big Band playing. Led by saxophonist Keith Edwards, the personnel changes weekly, as does their selection of fantastic arrangements.

Taking influence from bands such as Vulfpeck, Tower of Power and the legendary ‘Jimi Hendrix Experience’, the band combines funk with a touch of psychedelia, alternative rock and jazz fusion.
