Thomas Atlas is a British Funk guitarist, singer and songwriter. His early career saw him touring the UK and USA with Soul and Blues outfits. Thomas Atlas’ Self-Titled Debut Album is pioneering the return of British Funk Music, taking influence from legends ‘The Average White Band’ and Funk Godfather, James Brown. Released on the British boutique record label, Hillside Global, the album’s contemporary sound and style has given Atlas an audience of soul record collectors to teenage house music lovers stateside.

FOUR trumpets, FOUR trombones, FIVE saxes and FOUR rhythm! It’s a variable line-up of top-class pro players, who travel in from around Scotland to participate in this outstanding gig. Nowhere else can you hear this standard of regular Big Band playing. Led by saxophonist Keith Edwards, the personnel changes weekly, as does their selection of fantastic arrangements.

From swing, blues, bossa, trad and modern, this is a variable early-evening session of intimate and enjoyable jazz.
