Cassani / Campbell consists of Italian bassist and vocalist, Roberto Cassani and New York based, Perth native, saxophonist Fraser Campbell. The pair met in Perth during the lockdown and started playing socially distanced music together in the town’s North Inch park. This culminated in an album that has been released by Sunnyside Records in NYC. The duo have since joined forces with:

Each week a top-drawer piano trio, led by bassist Ed Kelly, is joined by a special guest spot. Saxophonists, guitarists, trumpeters and singers showcase their talents in a broad range of jazz styles. From swing, blues, bossa, trad and modern, this is a variable early-evening session of intimate and enjoyable jazz.

Hosted by DJ Simon Hodge, with live acts handpicked from the current cream of the Latin scene. Tonight features Latina Turners – a band made by Afrocuban music lovers in a quest to bring this amazing style back to Edinburgh’s live music scene, showcasing music from los Van Van, Poncho Sánchez, Cuba All-Star, Joe Arroyo, Buenavista Social Club and many more.

Held on the last Sunday of each month, award-winning vocalist Ali Affleck brings a fiery New Orleans passion with heavy doses of old-time pop and deep digs into the rarest of trad and blues. Hot roots, blues, prohibition-era jazz, and cheeky Creole tunes from the finest swing bands around. Each month sees both new friends and old; special guests and long-time favourites of the swing dance community – the perfect end to the month!

Neo-soul, hip-hop grooves and throwback funk classics! This vocal lead band is guaranteed to get your hips moving. Inspired by new and old artists from Steely Dan to Jordan Rakei, Dank Mango will cook up a funk-filled night with a wide range of musical styles to keep you on your toes. Led by vocal and guitar talent Ed Denman, Groovy bass by Lucas Gilchrist, Tight drums from Jack O’Rourke and soulful keys by Will Anderson.

FOUR trumpets, FOUR trombones, FIVE saxes and FOUR rhythm! It’s a variable line-up of top-class pro players, who travel in from around Scotland to participate in this outstanding gig. Nowhere else can you hear this standard of regular Big Band playing. Led by saxophonist Keith Edwards, the personnel changes weekly, as does their selection of fantastic arrangements.
